To Michigan artist Jon Parlangeli there is no other path but to constantly ask and then answer questions via different modalities within his medium. This leads to new explorative bodies of work offering differing styles, genres, or techniques that satiate his curiosity for the space between real and the abstract. Parlangeli uses both nature and figure as his muse often jostling between them to solve internal conundrums exposed during studio sessions. Standing over such processes is his artistic signature, color. Born partially color blind, Parlangeli uses color as his weapon of indelicacy often pushing beyond subtle yet achieving a cosmopolitan of sublime.

Parlangeli is a seasoned painter who has placed works within corporate and private collections throughout the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. His works have been shown in the US and internationally.
